Philanthropy Program

Be a part of helping your community. Many of our events and activities throughout the year benefit the Gemini Crickets Philanthropy Program, which assists needy families with multiples in our community who are struggling economically (low income, in a pinch, or maybe just in-between jobs). We also assist Gemini Crickets members who need emotional, financial, or physical support due to the medical issues of a parent or child. We regularly adopt needy families with multiples for the holidays and help many families in need throughout the year. We stress confidentiality with all of these families, while also ensuring that information is verified where warranted.

Early in 2007, we expanded our philanthropy efforts for needy families with new programs providing newborn and infant equipment, food and support. One of these programs is an “Open Garage Day,” in which we gather donations of baby equipment, clothes, diapers, and food from our club members and invite our needy families to come and take away anything they need at no cost.

We qualify families for our philanthropy program through social workers, physicians and staff at local hospitals, service agencies and shelters. Self-referrals will be connected with our contacts at these places to insure all families are treated similarly.

What Gemini Crickets can offer to qualifying families:
• Free Gemini Crickets membership, we provide at least 5 memberships annually
• Free donations of baby equipment, clothes, toys, books, etc.
• Invitations to “Open Garage Days”

• Gift certificates for diapers, formula, wipes, and other necessities.
• Assistance with car seats if needed and as available.

Contact us for referrals, inquiries and donations.
