Q: What is the Gemini Crickets Auction/Fundraiser?
A: It’s an annual event put on by members of the club to raise money for club activities.
Q: What are the proceeds used for?
A: For the second year in a row, at least 75% of the gross proceeds will go to Gemini Crickets’ Philanthropy and Educational programs.
Q: I keep hearing about a Silent Auction, Raffle and Live Auction. Are all of these things part of the fundraiser?
A: Yes. All three activities are part of the annual event on May 15th. There are three different ways to participate. RAFFLE: Buy your tickets and allocate them for whichever prizes you desire on the night of the auction. SILENT AUCTION: Prize goes to the highest bidder. Q: Do I have to be present to win?
A: No. For the Raffles/Drawings, you may have someone else submit your tickets for you on the night of the event. You can purchase raffle tickets in advance and tell us which raffle items you would like your tickets to go towards. For the Silent Auction and the Live Auction, you may have a representative bid for you. If you win, arrangements will be made with you or your representative for delivery of the prizes.
Q: How much are the raffle tickets?
A: If you purchase raffle tickets before the event, they cost 6 tickets for $5. On the night of the event, tickets will cost $1 each. Click here to purchase tickets in advance - we can mail them to you or hold them for you at Will Call for pickup at the event.
Q: Do I have to be a member of Gemini Crickets to participate?
A: No.
Q: How do I know what the prizes are?
A: Check out the auction web site for the latest list of prizes.
Q: Can I bring a guest (non-member) to the event?
A: Yes.
Q: Is there a fee to attend the auction/fundraiser event?
A: No.
Q: Will there be refreshments at the event?
A: Yes. The club will provide the main entrée, non-alcoholic beverages, water and some great wine.
Q: Will I have time to decide which prizes I want to go for in the raffle on the night of the event?
A: Not very much time. The event starts at 7:00pm and the raffle event will close promptly at 8:00 pm. Winners will be drawn and announced during the Live Auction portion of the night. This is to make sure there is enough time to announce all winners of the raffles and Silent Auction and to conduct the Live Auction. So be sure to come right on time to the event right at 7:00pm!
Q: May I bring my children?
A: This is an adult-only event and many activities will be in progress. We strongly recommend that you do not bring your children.
Q: What kind of attire is required? Should I dress up?
A: This year we are going Hawaiian so dust off that crazy, wild, festive Hawaiian attire. The Auction is a casual event and past participants have worn anything from jeans to dresses. The majority of attendees have worn nice, casual clothing. Hawaiian attire not required to attend.
Q: What kind of payment is accepted for the Silent and Live Auction?
A: We will accept a personal check.
Q: Will there be more prizes on the night of the event?
A: In past years, additional prizes have arrived just before the event. So, it’s likely that more prizes may be added that evening than what was on the auction web site. We will provide a note on the newest prizes that were not listed on the auction web site.
Q: May I submit more than one raffle ticket for a specific prize?
A: Yes, absolutely. Your chances to win increase by the number of tickets you submit for a specific prize.
